With the nice weather FINALLY today, we headed outdoors and went worm hunting. Beau wanted to find some worms that he could use to fish with Papa. The hunt started out good - digging dirt to put in a bucket to have as a "home" for the worms, then as the hunt progressed, i had 2 dirty boys - and I wonder why I always have so much laundry?! But it was so fun and the boys enjoyed it to the fullest, i believe......

Digging for the dirt - I miss the Illinois dirt, this Missouri stuff it is just better to pick it up with your hands it is so full of clay.

We learned worms live under stuff, especially wood(which we have alot of around out house!) Can you find the worm in the picture?

Not of afraid of the dirt.....grab the worm beau!

Here it is, oh wait, he dropped it....

OK found it, put it in the bucket

Hey little worm, we found you! Beau always wants to know what the worms say, so you have to be really creative in their words, he knows if you repeat something or if it doesn't make sense. It does take work to be a mom!

Oh, the advantages of living on 8 acres! Thank God for boys :)

We also saw a lizard, although, we didn't catch it - it is a fast little thing!

Then, the boys found the puddles.....where our incomplete yard(hopefully we will work on that this spring) doesn't come up to the concrete leading to the sheds. This is where it started getting muddy......and wet.

Brock loves the water - I gave up as a mother for a few moments and just let them be boys.

Beau had to find the biggest rocks to throw in the water and see how much of a splash he could make, here are a few shots, NOT the same throw, but it looks like it, doesn't it?
